Ellen Hopkins is touring and presenting with her new book TRICKS. I had the pleasure of hearing her read and speak here in Michigan tonight. Listening to her read the words of her amazing characters was really a treat.
Many of you have probably been reading about some of the controversy surrounding her books. She spent much of her visit explaining the importance of her writing for teens today. She is passionate about what she does, and that passion was poured out to her audience. I feel privileged to have been in her company tonight.
